The Bungle Bungle Range is one of Australia's most extraordinary landscapes, featuring thousands of distinctive orange and black striped sandstone domes rising dramatically from the Kimberley wilderness. The unique beehive-shaped formations, towering cliffs and vast open spaces create endless opportunities for landscape and astrophotography. Far from artificial light pollution, the Bungle Bungle Range offers incredible night sky photography, with the Milky Way stretching above the iconic domes and adding a breathtaking sense of scale to this remarkable environment.

The Kimberley’s ancient boab trees are some of the region’s most iconic and recognisable features, with their distinctive trunks and twisted branches creating dramatic silhouettes across the landscape. Scattered throughout rugged ranges, open plains and remote river systems, these remarkable trees add a unique sense of character and scale to the Kimberley wilderness.

Echidna Chasm is renowned for its spectacular glowing sandstone walls, where a brief window of sunlight transforms the narrow gorge into a vibrant display of deep oranges, reds and golds. The towering walls reflect and amplify the light, creating one of the Kimberley's most iconic photography experiences. Our visit is carefully timed to coincide with this magical lighting window, giving you the best opportunity to capture the rich colours, intricate textures and dramatic scale of the chasm.

Cathedral Gorge is one of the Kimberley's most iconic photography locations, featuring a vast natural amphitheatre surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs. Soft reflected light fills the gorge for much of the day, creating ideal conditions for capturing the rich colours, intricate rock textures and peaceful waterhole without harsh shadows. Lake Argyle is Australia's largest artificial lake by volume, spanning over 1,000 square kilometers across the rugged landscapes of the East Kimberley. Surrounded by dramatic sandstone ranges, islands and ancient escarpments, the lake has endless compositions from the shoreline and elevated viewpoints.

The Cockburn Range is one of the Kimberley’s most dramatic landscapes, with rugged sandstone cliffs and jagged peaks rising above the Ord River and surrounding wilderness. Known for its distinctive red escarpments, sweeping valleys and vast open horizons, the range creates some of the region’s most spectacular landscape photography opportunities.
